Reynolds is pleased
to announce a gallery show of works by local artist Emma Lou Martin. The show will be open from Saturday, January 20 to Saturday, March 24, 2018. The public is invited
to view the show in the Conference Center Gallery in the Workforce Development
and Conference Center on Reynolds Community College Parham Road Campus.
Emma Lou Martin has
devoted her life to enriching the art community of Richmond. In 1992 she was
the moving force in establishing the Uptown Gallery as its founding director.
She is passionate about the arts, and has found great joy passing that passion
on to others, whether as a museum docent, workshop painting teacher, art
consultant, and exhibitor, or creating “art adventures” for fellow
artists.
Emma Lou majored in fine arts at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and graduated
from the College of William and Mary. She has been influenced by her world
travels and continued studies with nationally recognized master painters. Emma Lou’s work can be found in numerous corporate collections including Media General, UVA Hospital, E.R. Carpenter Corp., Birdsong Peanut Corp., Philip Morris, Inc. and private collections internationally.
