This week and next week are not
just the half waypoint in this semester, but also the time for midterms. These
next two weeks are filled with stress, anxiety, and papers; however, at the end
of the two weeks the semester is almost over, the weather will be getting
warmer, and teachers will be too busy grading midterms to assign a ton of work!
Here are a few tips to help student
get through these next two weeks: 1. Sleep- I don’t mean two hours the night
before a big midterm, I mean sleep. A lot. It helps. I learned that when I
slept, before an exam I am always more alert and always did better. 2. Go to
your teacher for help before your exam- this one always helped me because
teachers are willing to help students who show an effort outside of the
classroom. And 3. Don’t stress- midterms are scary, but other assignments will
come along and help your grade out if you didn’t do too well, so don’t worry!
Good
luck on midterms- you got this! Kristin Schaefer
Reynolds students Clarissa Dery and Kristin Schaefer will be sharing their experiences and views of what it is like to be a student at Reynolds over the next few months. Clarissa and Kristin come from very different backgrounds but have bonded as friends at Reynolds. This is the first segment of the students’ blogs - we hope you enjoy reading about what brought them to Reynolds, their involvement at the college and what they each hope to accomplish once leaving Reynolds.
