Reynolds Community College has named Alan Crouch
Assistant Dean of the School of Business. Teaching in the automotive technology
program, Crouch came to Reynolds in 2008 and soon became co-program head.
Crouch earned an Automotive Technology AAS degree at New
River Community College and he furthered his education at Virginia Tech where
he earned a BS degree in Vocational Education. He earned a MS in Management
in 1999 from Florida
Institute of Technology in Orlando, FL. He is currently
working toward his doctorate.
Crouch taught at New River Community College for four
years before he embarked upon a successful career in technical training,
service, parts and sales at Mitsubishi Motors of America. Since that time, he
has worked in various automotive dealerships as well as retail automotive and
motorcycle organizations.
“Many at Reynolds and in the Goochland community know
Alan from his membership on college committees and Faculty Senate leadership,”
notes David Barrish, Dean of the School of Business. “He routinely engages in
scholarly activities and college service, and clearly understands the role of
community colleges within the landscape of economic development, accountability
to citizens, and helping students achieve their dreams.”
