Despite the cool temperatures and cold rain that greeted
students today, Reynolds Community College sends a warm welcome to all new and
returning students along with best wishes for a very happy and successful
spring semester.
A few important upcoming dates include January 16 which is
the last day to add/drop a 16-week session class, January 19 when the college
is closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and January 30 which is
the deadline for submission of applications for Spring Graduation.
Reynold Student Ambassador Derrick Godfrey, while serving at
a “Welcome Back” table on the first day of classes, had two suggestions for
students. The first, to make a habit of checking their Reynolds email
regularly, and second, to take advantage of the numerous student services at
the college.
“I think the tutor center is one of the most valuable
resources at Reynolds,” stated Derrick who graduated in December with a 4.0 GPA
and will start at VCU as a finance major in the fall. “Without the tutor center
and its awesome people, there is no way I have the academic success that I
enjoyed.”
