The Forgotten Fourteen, a documentary produced by Richard S. Groover

The Forgotten Fourteen is the incredible story of fourteen African-American soldiers who were awarded the Medal of Honor in the Civil War. All fourteen received their medals in one battle.

The documentary was produced by Reynolds Assistant Dean of Math, Science and Engineering Richard S. Groover. The script was written by Ben Cleary and the original music was written by Keith Wallace. Ben Cleary and Keith Wallace have been affiliated with Reynolds. Keith is still an adjunct tutor; Ben teaching English and Keith teaching math.

The Forgotten Fourteen will be shown on PBS Richmond and Charlottesville on March 20th and 24th:

March 20 at 10 p.m. on WCVE/WHTJ
March 24 at 10 p.m. on WCVW

The documentary won a number of awards, including a Telly Award, Rochester International Film Festival Award, 3-stars from Video Librarian Magazine and an endorsement by the New York Times Booklist.
